Hyatt Hotels Chairman Resigns
Thomas Pritzker has resigned as executive chairman of the board of the Hyatt Hotels, saying he did not wish to bring harm down upon the hotel chain. Pritzker has been in the news extensively as the press reported on his close relationship with Jeffrey Epstein and Ghislaine Maxwell.
Pritzker, who is the cousin of Illinois Gov. J.B. Pritzker, said, “My job and responsibility is to provide good stewardship. Good stewardship also means protecting Hyatt, particularly in the context of my association with Jeffrey Epstein and Ghislaine Maxwell, which I deeply regret.
“I exercised terrible judgment in maintaining contact with them, and there is no excuse for failing to distance myself sooner.”
More than a dozen resignations linked to Epstein have now occurred across the United States, as well as in Great Britain, France, the Slovak Republic and Saudi Arabia.
