President Donald Trump has made it clear: He is designating Antifa as a major terrorist organization.
“I am pleased to inform our many U.S.A. Patriots that I am designating ANTIFA, A SICK, DANGEROUS, RADICAL LEFT DISASTER, AS A MAJOR TERRORIST ORGANIZATION,” Trump posted on Truth Social on Wednesday night. “I will also be strongly recommending that those funding ANTIFA be thoroughly investigated in accordance with the highest legal standards and practices.”
What does that mean?
We’re likely to see federal prosecution against those who have funded Antifa. This includes the non-governmental organizations (the NGOs) that have been enabling terrorism by providing financial support to Antifa. Trump will be exploring bringing RICO charges against these NGOs, with RICO being shorthand for the Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations Act.
