Another Big Week Ahead

Another big week ahead. Soon, we will see more U.S. Senators and  Representatives in the House leaving the federal government. Their gravy train is coming to a close. They can no longer control the endless spigot of cash they’ve been ripping off from the taxpayers.

The mayoral race in New York City is exposing the enormous price of infiltration from abroad. New York leftists might want a gravy train of endless freebies.

The average, everyday individual around the country knows the truth: Socialism has never worked in a systemic and clean way anywhere in the world over any stretch of history. What these lefties want is just corruption, pure and simple.

They are lazy, They are greedy. They are ignorant. They are spoiled. and many, like AOC herself, were born with a silver spoon in her mouth. Here’s more from And We Know.

Senate Passes Big, Beautiful Bill

The U.S. Senate, by a 51-49 vote late Saturday night, approved President Donald Trump’s Big, Beautiful Bill.  There’s still some haggling to occur as the Senate and House bills are slightly different.

This should ensure that Trump’s massive proposed tax cuts and spending cuts get enacted, including the provision to eliminate taxes on tips. However, it’s not clear if the negotiations will finish in time for the bill to be signed into law on the Fourth of July, as Trump and the Republicans have been promising.

The vote stayed open for nearly three hours Saturday as Vice President J.D. Vance wrangled with dissenting and hold-out Republicans to get a majority vote.  That included Ron Johnson of Wisconsin, Rand Paul of Kentucky and Thom Tillis of North Carolina. They Sleep In Separate Beds

President Donald Trump and his DOGE master Elon Musk now sleep in separate beds. Elon leaves DOGE (the Department of Government Efficiency) and Bridget Phetasy revises his status as her nemesis.

Rand Paul: Go Suck An Apricot!

The corrupt Mitch McConnell has befuddled us many times. But we have always counted on Rand Paul, even when we didn’t see eye to eye with him on a particular issue. But now, Paul has betrayed that trust.

In a Senate vote this week, he aligned with the Democrats — along with the usual GOP turncoats Susan Collins (Maine ) and Lisa Murkowski (Alaska) — to try to strike down President Donald Trump’s tariffs. Fortunately the vote ended as a 49 to 49 tie, allowing Vice President J.D. Vance to break the tie by upholding the tariffs.

Still, what an arrogant display by Rand Paul. He might think he’s smarter than the President, but he’s looking like a complete putz and a clown. Is he as corrupt as McConnell? Time will tell. Here’s more from Matt Morse TV.

What Did You Do Last Week?

Elon Musk, as directed by the President, is searching out waste, fraud, and abuse in the swamp. He is getting quite a pushback, even from Trump’s appointees.

Musk Vs. The Swamp

The media are FURIOUS that Elon Musk is quickly dismantling “USAID.”

But I say it’s a good start! The agency spends $40 billion a year — often on dumb things.

More cuts will also be needed. John Stossel captures the story.

(EDITOR’S NOTE: Secretary of State Marco Rubio, who oversees USAID, announced Thursday night that he will  lay off 13,706 employees from the agency, leaving only a core staff of 294 staff members. It’s not clear if those 294 will be absorbed into the State Department or if USAID will even exist any longer.)

TikTok Given A Reprieve

Incoming President Donald Trump has issued a reprieve for TikTok, the embattled social media platform blackballed by the Joe Biden administration owing to its Communist Chinese ownership.

It’s not clear yet if TikTok is out of the woods for good, but Trump has temporarily lifted the outright ban that the censor-minded Biden had endorsed. We’ll have to wait to see if Trump is proposing the Chinese can keep the platform afloat, or if he’s just providing more time for them to find an American buyer. Here’s more from The Quartering.

The TikTok demonstrates just how fully American lawmakers are out of touch with their constituents. Not only will this ban be a direct assault on the American Bill of Rights, but it would put hundreds of thousands of workers — if not millions — out of jobs. This at a time of great economic uncertainty and upheaval.

If these lawmakers want to keep Communist China from dabbling in American affairs, why haven’t they banned farm or land purchases by the Chinese? Why this particular ban from the miserable Joe Biden and his pathetic and autocratic party? Here’s more from Really Graceful.
