President Donald Trump’s surgical masterstroke — a strategic aerial bombing of military sites on Kharg Island — just ended Iran’s $10 trillion terror premium. The structure needed to keep Iran’s oil industry afloat was left intact, but all military protection was stripped away.
The tattered regime will not be able to continue the war in any meaningful way. Now, it’s just a matter of how long the clean-up will take. Here’s more from Barbara Boyd at Promethean Updates.
Kharg Island — the pivotal point through which Iran ships some 90 percent of its oil — became the focal point this weekend in the Iran War. The U.S. Air Force bombed military sites guarding the island, and President Donald Trump threatened more extensive damages if Iran continues to strike oil shipments through the Straight of Hormuz.
Thus, Kharg Island could be Iran’s Achilles heel.
Allow unfettered oil shipments and the regime can continue to use Kharg Island to make its own shipments, largely to Communist China. But if Hormuz experiences more monkey business, Kharg Island will become much more tenuous as an oil hub.
For instance, the U.S. is sending 2,500 Marines and an amphibious assault ship, in preparation for ground reinforcements. Here’s more from France 24, a French public broadcasting service.
Retired Air Force Brigadier General Blaine Holt says there’s “no way” the Iranian regime remains intact after the decimating bombing by the United Strates and Israel over the weekend. There are currently no plans to put American soldiers on the ground in Iran, but aerial and naval strikes will continue as part of Operation Epic Fury.
Hostilities reached a fever pitch over the weekend as Iran fired missiles against targets in nearly 10 nations across the Middle East, focusing on Israel, but also striking targets around Saudi Arabia, Jordan and other Middle Eastern nations. Meanwhile, the United States and Israel took out the top leadership of Iran, including the Ayatollah Ali Khameini.
So far, three American soldiers have died in the conflict, mostly during missile strikes against U.S. bases in the Middle East. The question that remains: How much blowback will we see? Will Iranian allies like Hezbollah or Yemen step up their attacks? Will there be an increase in terrorism incidents? Here’s more from Holt and other analysts on Newsmax.
How many layers of fraud, corruption and theft surround the failed state of Ukraine? Which American politicians benefited directly? How about the broader military-industrial complex?
We are now starting to see an unraveling of this network, and understand how it has fomented violence and political assassination — not only in Russia and the Ukraine, but also across Europe and even in the United States. There are ties to USAIDs as well as venture capitalists and political hacks.
Here, Laissez Faire Lounge introduces the many players, some of whom we already know, while others have lurked a long, long time in the shadows.
Patara from Appalachia’s Homestead weighs in on the verbal skirmish between Erika Kirk and Candace Owens over whether it’s right to continue to press for the truth about who murdered Charlie Kirk. Erika is Charlie’s widow, so her wishes should certainly carry considerable weight. But should all speculation surrounding Kirk’s killers be silenced, as Erika is demanding? Not at all.
The fact is, Charlie Kirk was an outspoken and greatly admired American political leader, a man who raised many questions himself. His followers not only want the truth, they have a right to seek it out. This is not only in keeping with Charlie’s wishes, but America’s freedom-loving traditions and our cherished Bill of Rights.
Did a foreign power bring down this American icon — say Israel, Egypt, or assassins from the French Foreign Legion? How about rogue agents from the U.S. government? We’ve seen speculation implicating a host of possibly corrupt and dirty agencies — the FBI, the CIA, the ATF, even the U.S. Navy and Air Force. Frankly, if any of those agencies were involved, they need to be exposed and cleaned up — from top to bottom!
So while we understand Erika’s pain over this unresolved issue, we do not think this political assassination can be easily swept under a rug. There are definitely dirty killers, still in hiding, who need to be exposed, tried and punished. All silence will do is give us a half century or more of filthy corruption, same as continues to surround the killing of JFK to this day.
The U.S. is paying Palantir to track and target Palestinians in Gaza, according to a new report and if you think that this technology won’t be pointed at us, you’re on drugs.
It’s an AI-powered kill chain and they are already running practice. It’s not just a terrorist filter.
These systems *back-test* your life to decide whether you’re killable. It doesn’t only identify “targets.” It *manufactures* them. Here’s more from Natali Morris at Redacted News.
Various shell companies are buying properties adjacent to some of America’s most sensitive military installations — including Whiteman, AFB, home of the U.S. Air Force’s B-2 Spirit stealth bombers. A shocking number of the REAL owners are… CHINA.
