There are currently no plans to put American soldiers on the ground in Iran, but aerial and naval strikes will continue as part of Operation Epic Fury.
Hostilities reached a fever pitch over the weekend as Iran fired missiles against targets in nearly 10 nations across the Middle East, focusing on Israel, but also striking targets around Saudi Arabia, Jordan and other Middle Eastern nations. Meanwhile, the United States and Israel took out the top leadership of Iran, including the Ayatollah Ali Khameini.
So far, three American soldiers have died in the conflict, mostly during missile strikes against U.S. bases in the Middle East. The question that remains: How much blowback will we see?
