This Is Very Big

Elon Musk’s single tweet reveals his next target and it’s huge. Learn about Elon dishing out the dirt on Anthony Fauci. More from Dave Rubin.

Now, we are learning the very dark and dangerous past of Yoel Roth, one of Twitter’s chief censors, who formerly served as the head of Twitter’s trust and safety team. What a strange position to hand over to a raving lunatic leftist who clearly had an axe to grind against conservatives, Republican politicians and, particularly, former President Donald Trump.

Musk over the weekend shared a few of Roth’s past tweets and what appear to be an excerpt from his PhD thesis about Grindr, the LGBTQ social media app.

Roth is quoted as saying that the app is possibly too “lewd or hook-up-oriented” for people under age 18, but that providers should “focus on creating safe strategies … for queer young adults” that aren’t just about hook-ups Said Musk, “Looks like Yoel is arguing in favor of children being able to use adult services in his PhD thesis.”

Fake news journalists squawked that Musk was putting Roth’s life in danger. Meanwhile, the University of Pennsylvania drew fire for blocking the Roth dissertation on the university’s website.  More from The Quartering.

The acorn didn’t fall far from the tree when it came to Hunter Biden. Joe Biden is a similar shakedown artist.  Take the Biden Center at the University of Pennsylvania. Campus Reform’s Cabot Phillips headed to the Biden Center in Washington, D.C. to discuss allegations that the center and its host school- the University of Pennsylvania- are failing to disclose tens of millions of dollars worth of gifts from the Chinese government. Turns out the center received more than $70 million from Communist China, of which $22 million was listed as “anonymous.” More from Campus Reform.

Bombshell report! Crooked Biden family! We have them cold! Where’s Hunter? More from McAllister TV.

Antifa Harasses Candace Owens

Antifa activists harass Candace Owens as she drops by the University of Pennsylvania campus for a speaking tour. Why isn’t the Trump administration moving to designate Antifa as domestic terrorists? Why can this group flaunt the law so easily, especially on college campuses? It is way past time to correct this situation. Antifa protesters engaged in this manner of harassment should be arrested and jailed. Campuses that allow them to intimidate and harass speakers should have their federal funds curbed or withdrawn.

Meanwhile, Tim Pool reports on a plot by Antifa to disrupt the US border security. According to FBI documents reviewed by the San Diego Union-Tribune, the FBI is tracking “Anti Fascist” Activists who were seeking arms from Mexican sources in to stage trainings and an armed “disruption” of US border security operations.

No one has been arrested and two people named in the report deny any involvement. But outside of this, we are seeking a continuing escalation in rhetoric and actions. From this event near San Diego, to another incident thwarted by the FBI, and mainstream television encouraging more escalation it seems like things are getting worse.

Colleges: Hotbeds of Censorship

“The…idea that if you just let people talk, it will be this pit of racist pandemonium…is sort of childish and it oversimplifies. But it is a great justification for having a lot of power over speech,” says Greg Lukianoff, the president of the Foundation for Individual Rights in Education (FIRE).

Lukianoff spoke with Reason TV’s Nick Gillespie about his new book Unlearning Liberty: Campus Censorship and the End of American Debate, where he details the slow and steady withering of free expression on America’s college campuses.

In some ways, the modern on-campus free-speech movement dates back to 1993’s “water buffalo incident” at the University of Pennsylvania, where a student was brought up on racial harassment charges for using the term “water buffalo” as an insult. That case led directly to the founding of FIRE, which “defends free speech, due process and basic rights on campus.”

A Stanford Law-trained liberal who blogs at the Huffington Post, Lukianoff insists that by restricting controversial or potentially offensive speech, “you’re putting people into echo chambers” where they only interact with people with whom they already agree. That sort of groupthink is dangerous to a free society, says Lukianoff, but it’s particularly appalling to see it instituted at the nation’s colleges and universities, where the free exchange of ideas is supposed to be the whole point of higher education.

On the Run

Elizabeth Warren keeps her dodge going, declining to meet with a group of Cherokee women who travel to Boston to ask about her claims to being of Cherokee descent. Warren, the Democratic candidate for US Senator from Massachusetts, cited those claims to advance her academic career at Harvard University and the University of Pennsylvania.  If Warren can legitimately prove her Native heritage, it’s time for her to do so. Otherwise, she’s a fraud and apologies are in order — not only to these Cherokee women, but also to the voters of Massachusetts and the universities she duped.
