The Kuru Guru

Carleton Gajdusek won a Nobel Prize in 1976 for his groundbreaking research on the kuru virus in Papua New Guinea. He found the virus seemingly was spread by cannibalism as those who became infected had dined on the brains of their dead relatives.

But as the documentary film The Genius and The Boys confirms, Gajdusek wasn’t simply intrigued by the maladies of Stone Age peoples. He also was a hardened perodphile who adopted — and molested — scores of underage boys from Micronesia and other remote lands. Here’s more from Jamie Dlux.

Papua New Guinea Pigs

Jamie Dlux explores the work of physicist Carleton Gajdusek, a co-recipient of a Noble Prize in 1976, for his theories on the transmission of kuru.  This is a rare, generally incurable and often fatal neurodegenerative disease first detected among the Fore people of Papua New Guinea.

Gajdusek linked kuru outbreaks in the 1950s and 1960s to the practice of funerary cannibalism, as he observed Fore people digesting the muscles and brains of deceased relatives. Subsequently, this cannibalism was outlawed and the disease promptly disappeared across Papua New Guinea.

Resident Pedophile

Jamie Dlux returns to the sordid story of Carleton Gajdusek, a Nobel Prize winner for his kuru research and resident scientist at the National Institutes of Health. Gajdusek also happened to be a flagrant pedophile, protected by many elites within the medical establishment.

Not only did Anthony Fauci exhibit great delinquency in keeping Gajdusek on staff, but so did noted AIDS researcher Robert Gallo, who helped spring Gajdusek on bail after he finally faced criminal charges. This was a man who sodomized and had oral sex with not one or two boys, but hundreds of them. In other words, a veritable monster.
