The Democrats’ free speech hypocrisy reaches insane new levels after the vile Jimmy Kimmel gets the axe. They’re complaining that ABC and its parent company Walt Disney Corporation have violated Kimmel’s free speech by firing him. Wrong!
He was fired because his show sucks, no one watches it, and he maliciously attacked a man, Charlie Kirk, who had just been politically assassinated. In short, he proved himself to be a douchebag so far removed from human decency that he had become a complete financial and moral drain for his network. He can go out on a street corner and spout whatever he wants — just like the rest of us — so his free speech hasn’t been tampered with whatsoever.
A bunch of late-night comedians complained about his firing — including Stephen Colbert and Jon Stewart, as well as former hosts Jay Leno and David Letterman. They painted themselves out as free-speech advocates. That’s a joke! A lot of these clowns are hardcore leftists. Some are secret, closeted pedophiles. Walt Disney Corporation hasn’t gotten as much bad press as Anheuser-Busch, but the company has pushed aside a huge block of its customers, and in the process, lost more than $100 billion in its market value. This week, the pain will become more evident as Disney begins to compensate, launching a series of massive layoffs affecting every division of the company — from the theme parks to the movie-making studios to broadcasting operations like ESPN.
As many as 4,000 employees are expected to receive pink slips this week. That number could reach 7,000 layoffs by the end of the summer, as the belt-tightening continues.
It’s unfortunate that so much of the damage was self-inflicted as Disney openly embraced woke leftist policies, often antagonizing its base of customers.
