Cancel Culture’s Nazi Origins
The strategy of the far left’s cancel culture has sinister origins, to be sure. They know the American electorate would never vote for radical candidates, such as Bernie Sanders or Elizabeth Warren, so a nominee like Joe Biden becomes their puppet. And in order to advance their power, they attack and harm the people who disagree with them. Where have you seen these cancel-culture tactics before? Nazi Germany. Adolf Hitler’s SA paramilitary group and the National Socialist Party were the first to cancel opposing views and suppress political opponents. “Says political commentator Bill O’Reilly, “They set fires to businesses, terrorized newspaper editors and went to college campuses. And they blamed it all on communists, because there was a big communist movement at the time.” Sound familiar? Take a look today at Portland, Seattle, New York, Chicago. The perpetrators–Black Lives Matter, Antifa and other radical organizations, often described as paramilitary or mercenary forces of the left. One wise philosopher once said, “Those who don’t learn from history are doomed to repeat it.” Here’s more with O’Reilly on The First.
