Mark Dice outlines the differences between publications and public services. Publications, like newspapers, can decide upon their editorial content. Public services, like telephone companies, do not limit their content.
The publication has more power, but is also responsible for anything libelous it publishes. By contrast, the telephone company cannot censor, but also cannot be held responsible for libel. The individual making the libelous comments over the phone is the one who can be charged.
President Donald Trump is giving the social media companies — including Twitter, Facebook or YouTube — a choice. They can exert full control over their content, but in turn, must accept responsibility for libel. If they do not want this responsibility, then they must behave like telephone companies and allow free discourse, so the blame falls on the individual instead.

By injecting their editorial opinion over Trump’s tweets and hiding them from many users, Twitter has clearly said to the world that they are not just a platform but a publisher like the New York Times.
While leftists and Democrats engage in falsehoods same as anyone else, Twitter takes special effort to target Trump.
They’re asking every person on their platform to engage in a game of chicken where they mass report everything as glorifying violence
Now that Twitter said game on they either prove their bias or ban every tweet like this.
Social media censorship is no longer questioned. It’s fact. Unless Twitter starts nuking Nancy Pelosi and Adam Schiff (or other Democrats), it’s just them pushing their thumb into the scale to hurt Trump. More from Tim Pool.
