The assassin who murdered United healthcare CEO Brian Thompson shot bullets bearing secret messages. Thompson was shot in cold blood Wednesday morning as he was approaching the firm’s annual investor conference in New York City.
“I want to be clear. At this time, every indication is that this was a premeditated, preplanned, targeted attack,” said New York Police Department commissioner Jessica Tisch.
The assassin had carved these words into the shell casings of his bullets: “Deny. Depose. Defend.”
