The incident occurred while he was speaking to reporters after delivering a speech at the Department of Justice in Washington, D.C. The microphone, operated by a boom operator, struck Trump as he was responding to a question about the situation in Gaza. He reacted by tilting his head back, glaring off-camera, and later quipped, “She just made television tonight,” referring to the operator involved.
There is no definitive confirmation of which media outlet the boom operator was affiliated with, nor has the individual been officially identified in available reports. Some X posts incorrectly attributed the incident to a reporter, such as Danielle Kurtzleben from NPR, but this appears to be misinformation, as evidence suggests it was a boom operator—not a reporter—who was responsible. Attorney General Pam Bondi will release several of the Jeffrey Epstein flight logs, and perhaps a few related documents. The release should happen today, although there’s a chance it could be pushed back until tomorrow.
Bondi tells Jesse Watters from Fox News that she could not release information earlier because the logs first needed to be redacted so as not to expose the names of victims. She says there were more than 250 victims involved, so this was no easy or quick task to accomplish.
