GOP leaders in the U.S. Senate are calling for the ouster of Mitch McConnell after the U.S. Senate minority leader botched the party’s chances to retake the key chamber. Instead of supporting Republicans who needed help to win, McConnell threw his support behind GOP candidates who backed him.
These included the hideous RINO Lisa Murkowski from Alaska, who routinely supports the Democrats. McConnell also is opposed by many Republicans who want an end to the spigot of bribes and kickbacks going to the vile Ukraine government.
Now, key Republicans in the Senate are demanding an end to the shenanigans and have begun gathering support for needed supports. These will encompass but not be limited to the ouster of McConnell. The two Senators from Missouri Senators, Josh Hawley and Eric Schmitt, are among those leading the charge for a clean slate. About time! More from Steve Turley.
As the vote counting proceeded into the night, the Republicans appeared almost certain to take control of the U.S. House, but it remained unclear if they could also win the U.S. Senate. In other words, there was a Republican wave in the 2022 midterms elections, but falling short of a red tsunami.
As of 6:40 a.m., Politico had the two parties splitting the U.S. Senate, with 48 seats for the Democrats and 47 seats for the Republicans. Republicans who stood poised to win Senate races: J.D. Vance in Ohio, Chuck Grassley in Iowa, Ted Budd in North Carolina, Eric Schmitt in Missouri and Ron Johnson in Wisconsin. But it appeared the Democrats withstood the GOP in New Hampshire, Colorado and Washington states. And the fake news was reporting a John Fetterman victory over Mehmet Oz in Pennsylvania.
Arizona, Nevada and Alaska trailed in their vote counting, so it remained to be seen how those elections would go. Also still up in the air: The Georgia race between Hershel Walker and Raphael Warnock, apparently headed toward a runoff election.
In the U.S. House, Republicans had won 199 seats vs. 172 for the Democrats, but 64 races still had not been called, as of 6:40 a.m. Eastern time, according to Politico. Here, former President Donald Trump provides updates from Mar-A-Lago in a speech broadcast by Newsmax TV.

At least 35 FBI raids were conducted this week against Trump allies across the nation. Or so says Stephen Bannon in a video interview with Charlie Kirk. We sound a bit hesitant because, so far, there has been no outside confirmation that these raids took place or exactly who was targeted.

Mayor Muriel Bowser declares a State of Public Emergency due to the migrant crisis, saying her city will allocate $10 million dollars to dealing with the bussed immigrants arriving from Texas and Arizona. MAGA pretty much swept the primary elections Tuesday, putting the GOP on a path toward more honest and less corrupt candidates. Notably, U.S. Rep. Peter Meijer of Michigan, one of the Republicans who voted to impeach President Donald Trump, got booted out of office in Michigan, defeated by John Gibbs.
In Arizona, Blake Masters won the Senate primary and Kari Lake was leading for the Republican nod for governor. Meanwhile, Rusty Bowers, the Arizona Speaker of the House who testified before the January 6th Select Committee, got walloped. Once again, though, Arizona mounted a shabby and poorly run election, with the vote count stretching out way longer than necessary. As Styxhexenhammer666 put it, they demonstrated “systemic issues with their election capabilities.”
Elsewhere, MAGA candidate Eric Schmidt won the U.S. Senate primary in Missouri and the voters of Kansas voted to continue to allow abortions. The only candidates to buck the MAGA trend were in Washington state, where it appears two Congressmen who voted to impeach Trump — Dan Newhouse and Jaime Herrera Beutler — were poised to win re-election bids.

More video evidence has surfaced from the Jan. 6 Capitol siege, proving the complicity of the FBI in the insurrection. OAN obtained the raw video, shot exclusively by journalist Bobby Powell, revealing the shocking actions by two undercover FBI agents smashing windows, urging onlookers to enter the building, even forcing many of them against their will. Senators Kirsten Sinema of Arizona and Josh Hawley of Missouri now have possession of the video.
Powell says he recorded the men attacking the building at the east entrance and subsequently provided the FBI with 29 minutes of high-definition footage more than five months ago. “Neither one of these men have been arrested.
