Historic Places Lost to Time

It’s fact that our ancient timeline is flawed. The modern world is much older than history teaches us. When looking at some of the most amazing scientific discoveries recently, it’s evident that the traditional chronological approach to age dating–with regard to our ancient history–should be revisited. Once thriving and highly developed cities around the planet lost to our developed consciousness have been rediscovered in recent years. Since ravaged by war and natural disasters, these marvels have come to enlighten us, leaving us to question not only their timeline, but also the stories and history behind them. Host Simon Whistler features 10 such historic places in this episode of Top Tenz.

Babes of Burlesque: 45

MISSY MALONE

Scotland’s most celebrated burlesque artist, Missy Malone, isn’t a good fan dancer. She’s a fantastic one. But the fans are only a small part of her stage arsenal. For an act she calls “The Bride,” paying homage to the 1935 movie The Bride of Frankenstein, she dances using that silts that transform her into a towering, nine-foot figure. She also does a champagne-themed balloon dance and impersonates a gambling cowgirl in “Ace of Spades.”

To get a sense of her elaborate costumes and stage props, check out this routine called “Jack Frost,” performed at Burlescapades, hosted by the Voodoo Rooms in Edinburgh, Scotland.

From an early age, Missy was inspired by classic American pin-up artwork, particularly WWII airplane nose art. This passion is evident in “The Military Strip,” a duet she performed with Leyla Rose at The Arches in Glasgow, Scotland.

Hobbit Village Discovered

Much of the real Irish, Scottish, and even British history has been lost and is no longer taught, but parts remain in European myths and legend. Long before Stonehenge, or most of the Egyptian pyramids were built, a thriving village existed in Scotland. One day, a farmer on the island of Orkney, found a large stone that didn’t look like it belonged in its environment. When the farmer flipped over the stone, he was shocked at what he discovered underneath, a hidden and lost village that existed over 5,000 years ago. More from Robert Sepehr, anthropologist and author.

Origins Of Countries’ Names

Every country’s name derives from one of four sources. The vast majority of country names pay reference to the people who settled the land (Scotland and France, for instance) or to the physical qualities of the land itself (say Iceland or Greenland).

Then there are some countries named after their geographic placement on the globe. China fits this mold. Its name refers to its position on what the inhabitants considered Middle Earth.

Finally, there are countries whose names bespeak of their political structure, like the United States. More from Black Pigeon Speaks.

Understand Gang Stalking

Dr Eric Karlstrom joins the Kev Baker Show, a radio program in Glasgow, Scotland, to go over the timeline of events that have culminated in today’s modern globalized and organized gang stalking. What is gang stalking? The Urban Dictionary explains, “Gang Stalking is really a covert government or police investigation. It’s similar to Cointelpro or red squads, and it’s being used on a lot of innocent people to ruin them and make them look crazy. Gang Stalking is all about government disinformation, and using civilian spies/snitches to help with stalking and monitoring innocent people.”

Here, Dr. Karlstrom rejoins The Kev Baker Show out of Glasgow, Scotland to take a look at the satanic side of gang stalking. Baker, along with his co-host Johnny Whistles, focuses on such topics as space technology, metaphysics, human origins, black operations and international terrorism.

The Sky is Falling

Ever since Chicken Little’s infamous cry, “The sky is falling,” people around the world have experienced their share of weirdness dropping through the clouds. Take the Great Jelly Rain Incident of 2009 in Scotland, when a mysterious gelatinous substance came pouring down. Scientists studying the phenomenon were unable to get a grasp on what the substance was. Some guessed fungus or the remnants of a meteor, but the most plausible theory was that the jelly was frog or toad ovaries regurgitated by birds. Planet Dolan describes nine other mysterious objects that fell from the sky.
