Steve Bannon predicts the Republicans will rout the Democrats in the 2022 midterm elections, possibly picking up as many as 80 to 100 seats in the U.S. House. The shattered Democratic Party, he believes, will more likely splinter than remain intact to fight back. The end result could be 100 years of Republican rule.
Our caveat: The Democrats will cheat wherever and however they can, so the scope of the potential disaster likely will be smaller. But even so, if the Republicans gain the U.S. House and U.S. Senate, and a majority of the states, they can — and will — enact election reforms that will eliminate the Democrats’ ability to cheat to any large degree in the future.
