Barrett Confirmation Today

Iowa Sen. Chuck Grassley doubled down on the nomination of Judge Amy Coney Barrett to the Supreme Court, saying she will be confirmed later today. In other words, nothing’s changed. Says Grassly, “The vote will be 51-49, 52-48 and we know that right now.”

Barrett will become the third justice placed on the highest court in the land by President Trump, despite desperate attempts from the Senate Judiciary Committee Democrats to derail or postpone the vote. “President Trump promised the type of people he was going to put on the Supreme Court and this is one of that type, what you might call a strict constructionist,” Grassley says. “As opposed to what Democrats might have put on, justices who like to legislate.”

Appearing over the weekend on Fox News, Grassley also opines on the voting process and the lack of any Democrat votes for Barrett and their threat of “packing the court” if Joe Biden wins the election.

Dems To Boycott Barrett Vote

In a purely political and shameless maneuver, Senate Judiciary Committee Democrats will boycott Amy Coney Barrett’s nomination to the Supreme Court today. The move came one day after Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell announced that the full Senate will take up Barrett’s confirmation vote on Monday, ensuring that she will be confirmed and sworn in before the November 3 Presidential election.

Minority Leader Chuck Schumer and Democrats on the Judiciary Committee said in a joint statement announcing their boycott, “We will not grant this process any further legitimacy by participating in the Committee’s mark-up of this nomination, just 12 days before the culmination of an election that is already underway.”

Senate Judiciary Chairman Lindsey Graham fired back. “I believe it does a disservice to Judge Barrett who deserves a vote, up or down,” he said.

Judiciary Committee rules state that 12 senators must be present in order to send a nomination to the floor. Republicans can meet the requirement on their own if every GOP senator is present later today. Here’s more from Top News.

In a related story, a new Gallup Poll reveals that 51 percent of voters want Barrett to get confirmed, but an amazing 84 percent of Democrats oppose her.

Former South Carolina Congressman Trey Gowdy, appearing on Fox News’ “America’s Newsroom” with anchor Trace Gallagher, called the Democrats irrational, adding, “She may be the best witness that I have ever seen in a courtroom Congressional hearing. She was amazing and that’s why you see the public opinion changing.”

Amy Barrett Vs. The Idiot People

On the eve of the historic Senate Judiciary Committee’s vote on the confirmation of Amy Coney Barrett to the U.S. Supreme Court, political commentator and satirist Andrew Klavan tees off on some of the stupidest people in America, aka our Democrat Senators–specifically those on the hearing’s panel.

In the running for the top lamebrain award, Klavan says, are Hawaii Sen. Mazie Hirono, Rhode Island’s Sen. Sheldon Whitehouse and New Jersey’s Sen. Cory Booker. The mentally challenged trio uttered perhaps the most outlandish questions in the final round of their cross examination of ACB.

Hirono, who once told men in the committee chamber to shut up while she slandered then-nominee Brett Kavanaugh, attacked ACB for using the phrase sexual preference, saying it implied sexuality was a choice and is an offensive term. Huh? Even more amazing, Merriam Webster Dictionary, as if receiving direct orders from its Deep State daddy, concurred with Hirono, changing the definition overnight to include her sentiment.

Whitehouse spewed his corporate dark-money conspiracy on Barrett, suggesting her nomination was a result of this ridiculous theory. Thankfully, Texas Sen. Ted Cruz immediately debunked the wild discourse, pointing out that a major portion of dark money from these very corporations was donated to Democrat campaigns.

Later in the hearing, when ACB was asked about the George Floyd incident and condemned white supremacy, Spartacus himself, Corey Booker, took the opportunity to thank her and attack President Trump at the same time. Disgusting.

After analyzing the comments, Klavan awarded the Stupid Democrat Crown to Whitehouse. “I’m embarrassed by our Democrat Senators, because they are the stupidest and meanest bunch of clowns and animals I’ve have ever seen gathered together in one place,” he says. Feinstein Caught On Hot Mic

It’s not surprising that many members of the Left are highly hostile to organized religion and a lot of them, including members of the Senate Judiciary Committee, deeply resent Supreme Court nominee Amy Coney Barrett for her Orthodox Catholicism.

But it’s funny how the Democrats on the committee have been unusually behaved when it comes to attacking Barrett, unlike her 2017 U.S. Court of Appeals nomination hearing when ranking Sen. Dianne Feinstein stated, “… the dogma lives loudly within you.” With the presidential election a little less than three weeks away, the Dems are understandably restrained, notwithstanding unforeseen circumstances, like say, the proverbial hot mic.

Not realizing her mic was still on at Thursday’s hearing, Feinsten said, “She’s been pro life for a long time, so I suspect with her, it’s deeply personal and comes with her religion.” Oops! Guess you could call this a super-sized senior moment for the 87-year-old California senator. “The big secret in Washington,” says Fox News anchor Tucker Carlson, “is that a lot of these people, dripping with credentials like third-world generals and their medals, are actually not very bright.”

And there was more drama in the courtroom when Missouri Sen. Josh Hawley adeptly flipped the script on Vermont Sen. Patrick Leahy’s anti-corruption question to Barrett, spicing it up with a reference to previous Trump allegations.

Hawley countered with a hypothetical question on foreign influence, obviously directed at the recent brouhaha over allegations of political corruption by the Biden family in Ukraine and China. It was a classic retaliation from the GOP side of the aisle.

Media’s DESPERATE smears of Amy Coney Barrett will BACKFIRE on Democrats, hearings are a SHAM. The Amy Coney Barrett hearings are a formality and the vote will likely end on party lines.

Democrats are doing well to hold their strategy of focusing on healthcare but leftists in media can’t help but smear Amy Coney Barrett with absurd lies.

Senate Dems Slinging Nonsense

There really weren’t any surprises during the first day of the Supreme Court confirmation hearings for Amy Coney Barrett. As suspected, Democrats were, well, Democrats. Once the gavel dropped, the Democrat vitriol began to flow.

The gist of the attacks from these unrelenting Leftists was nothing new, says Newsmax anchor Greg Kelly. They called Judge Barrett a threat, Ruth Bader Ginsburg a saint and President Trump the devil. And, of course, all this rubbish came from the likely suspects–Kamala Harris, Mazie Hirono, Dick Durbin, Cory Booker–the very same Senators who torched Justice Brett Kavanaugh during his confirmation debacle.

The Left’s Double Standard

If there is one thing that is glaringly evident in recent years, it’s the Left’s double standard when comes to the treatment of women. They profess to empower strong, outspoken women, that is, unless a strong, conservative woman takes the spotlight.

The latest case in point is President Trump’s nomination of Amy Coney Barrett to the U.S. Supreme Court. Within hours after the nomination, the Left unleashed a barrage of attacks on Barrett, calling her racist, a religious zealot, a gun extremist and a bad mom. And this has been their modus operandi, especially through the first term of the Trump Administration.
