Birds of the Feather

Let’s drop in and see what’s afoot at the Democratic Socialists of America’s annual conference. This is the group that includes such stalwarts as US Sen. Bernie Sanders, D-Vermont, and US Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, D-N.Y. In the words of one commentator, “This is worse than Comic Con…what a bunch of soy-drugged zombies.” More from Mark Dice.

Bernie Faces Union Demands

House Democrats recently passed a $15 minimum wage bill nationally and conflicting reports say that we could lose up to 1.3 Million jobs or not lose any jobs at all.

One of the biggest proponents of a federal $15 minimum is Bernie Sanders who is now caught in a conundrum over his own staffs pay. Some staffers are reportedly quitting over not receiving a “living wage.” Many are saying that the long hours result in only getting $11-$13 an hour.

With the passing of the federal bill moderate and even far left Democrats agree on increasing the minimum, the question that arises is why isn’t Bernie putting his money where his mouth is?

Minimum wage increases are not even socialist or far left policy wise, it is a general left wing position to increase base pay to require employers to pay more. They argue without government mandate they won’t and perhaps there is no better example than Bernie Sanders who apparently doesn’t even pay his own staff $15

Republicans, on the other hand, disagree so I doubt we will see anything other than conservatives calling out the hypocrisy of the Sanders camp, though I think Bernie and his campaign will likely rectify the situation quickly.

The reality is that this story reveals how complicated it is to negotiate wages. Staff will always want more and Employers will always want to pay less. More from Tim Pool.

When Bernie Sanders is rated most favorably among Democratic candidates, then you know your party has gone down the tubes. These losers better prepare for another wailing party in 2020. They have a major crisis on their hands. More from Styxhexenhammer666.

Democratic Pool Thinning Out

Styxhexenhammer666 examines the latest polls taken after the first Democratic debates. As expected, they show upward swings for some candidates, particularly Kamala Harris, and stagnant or downward numbers for most of the leaders — Joe Biden, Bernie Sanders and Elizabeth Warren. Those four are the top candidates. Any others above 5 percent? Perhaps only one, Pete Buddigieg, with Cory Booker and Tulsi Gabbard percolating just below that point.

You might as well drive a stake through the hearts of the other 13 or so Democratic challengers. They are dead in the water.

Dick Morris also sees Kamala Harris as the biggest winner from the first two debates. Here, in a pair of videos, he discusses how she clearly cleaned Uncle Joe Biden’s clock and how Biden is slip, slipping away.

Lionel Nation says it doesn’t really matter who the Democrats put forward. He says Biden is positively done and won’t last through this election cycle. Warren Overtakes Sanders

It’s starting to look like Sen. Elizabeth Warren, D-Mass., is overtaking Sen. Bernie Sanders, the Vermont Socialist, in the early primary states. Neither is in the same league yet as former Vice President Joe Biden, the Democratic frontrunner. But if Warren can vanquish Sanders, she stands a chance of taking on Biden down the road. Over the past month, Biden has lost 9 percent of his support and Sanders has dropped 3 points. The candidate making the biggest gain over that time has been Elizabeth Warren. Some polls even show her moving ahead of Bernie Sanders. Dick Morris says Beto O’Rourke is the biggest loser — probably out of the race. Kamala Harris remains in the race, but doesn’t seem to be generating much spark.

Beto Bends Knee to Clinton

Now that the large Democratic field of more than 20 candidates is close to set, we’re starting to see who’s likely to prevail and who needs a miracle to survive. U.S. Rep. Robert Francis “Beto” O’Rourke,  D-Texas, thought he would be one of the frontrunners but it’s becoming clear he can’t hope to match Joe Biden or Bernie Sanders, let alone Elizabeth Warren. Here he says “socialism is not the answer,” but gets booed by a bunch of ruffians from the California Democratic Convention. How to Run Against Socialism

Dick Morris outlines his ideas on how best to run against socialism. This will become a more heated debate if Sen. In Pursuit of Truth surpasses 125,000 subscribers and celebrates with some cake, but none for Susan Wojcicki, the CEO of YouTube. None of the censor-minded social media execs deserve cake or even the slightest bit of respect from freedom-loving Americans.
