And it was former President Donald Trump who administered the justice, winning in Chutkan’s courtroom! The January 6th Judge had no choice but to agree with the defense that that January 6th trial and all associated deadlines are now stayed pending appeal. Conveniently, though, Chutkan decided to maintain jurisdiction over Trump’s gag order to continue to silence his speech as the 2024 election rolls on.
