George Be Gone At ABC!

Another one bites the dust! ABC’s top political analyst, George Stephanopoulos, is stepping down — sometime this summer.

Disney, which owns ABC News, should never have allowed Stephanopoulos to remain in office. He had served as senior advisor to former President Bill Clinton from 1993-96. In short, his prominence in the media business has stood out as a signal of gross political bias.

Meanwhile, what’s the deal with big media wanting to take over independents? Fox apparently wants part of the action and has targeted the company that sells the podcasts of former Fox News talents Megyn Kelly, Tucker Carlson and Bill O’Reilly. The company that sells their podcasts, Red Seat Ventures, was just acquired by the conservative network as it attempts to gain a foothold in the digital media space. Recess Appointments On Tap?

Will we see incoming President Donald Trump use recess appointments to put some of his more controversial nominees in place?  It’s said that Trump is weighing recess appointments as a means to outmaneuver Senate resistance over a few of his loyalist picks.

Matt Gaetz, Trump’s nominee for Attorney General, could get a recess appointment, and so might Tulsi Gabbard, wanted for National Intelligence Director.

Here, Robert Gouveia of Watching The Watchers explains how the process might work. He notes that previous administrations, including those of Bill Clinton and George W. Bush, have used recess appointments, but usually for lower-level appointments, not for cabinet posts.

Swift, Clean: Left Going Down

The [Deep State] is panicking. [Kamala Harris’] poll numbers are dropping very quickly.

Obama and Clinton are campaigning for her but they are throwing her under the bus. They set up [Kamala Harris] on Fox to be interviewed. Will this destroy [Kamala Harris]? Trump mentions that they might try to swap out [Kamala Harris] if her poll numbers keep tanking.
